Learning Disorder Assessment Fees
Valued Action Psychological offer comprehensive Psychoeducational Assessments with our psychologists billed at a rate of $230/hour. Total assessment fees vary somewhat in price and may be somewhat less than the amount indicated.
The maximum fee for an adult Psychoeducational Assessment is $3,450. This reflects 15 hours of clinical time (interview, testing, interpretation, report writing, feedback meeting).
The maximum fee for a child Psychoeducational Assessment is $3,580. This reflects 16 hours of clinical time (interview, testing, interpretation, report writing, feedback meeting).
Assessment fees are commonly covered by private insurance. You are encouraged to verify your coverage before booking/attending your assessment appointment as we do not have access to individual insurance policy coverage details.
Common Referral Reasons
Concerns regarding reading, writing, and math / numerical skill development that are negatively impacting functioning. These assessments also include ADHD within their scope. Twice-exceptional (2e) profiles, where a learning disorder and giftedness co-occur, are also common; see our Child Giftedness Assessment for more. We welcome clients from Halifax, Dartmouth, and Bedford, as well as by virtual assessment across Nova Scotia.
