Jordan Ferguson, M.Sc. Clinical Psychologist (Candidate Register)

I work with adult clients (19+ years) on coping with the challenging emotional states and problematic thoughts pertaining to various forms of anxiety and depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anger issues, relationship and interpersonal issues, ADHD, stress, low self-esteem, communication, phobias, social skills, family concerns, assertiveness, etc.
I am a Clinical Psychologist (Candidate Register), with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Psychology (NSRP). I received my Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Psychology as well as my Master's of Science in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University.

Over the course of my education and training I've spent time working with adults across their lifespan in both forensic, along with psychosocial rehabilitative settings. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.

I approach therapy from a place of complete acceptance and positive regard for clients—aiming to create a calm, safe space for sessions. Sessions will initially focus on establishing a relationship and on getting to know the values, strengths, and experiences of my clients.

From there we will work together, identifying goals and how we can take manageable steps toward actualizing those goals.
