Psychological Assessment Services

Psychological assessments to clarify diagnosis and functioning, guiding treatment and accommodation recommendations.

We are currently expanding our caseloads and there is no wait time for new assessment clients. Wait times are expected to increase and will be periodically updated here.

Evidence-Based Assessment Approach

We provide a range of comprehensive assessments tailored to the needs of each individual client. Our Psychologists offer ADHD, Psychoeducational / Learning Disorder Assessments (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), Child Giftedness Assessments, and IQ Assessments for adults and children (age 8+).

We also provide, general Mental Health Assessments for adults, identifying conditions such as depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Please contact us for more information based on your specific needs.

Assessment FAQs and Fees

You can discontinue service at any time during the assessment process (e.g., after the initial interview), but you are responsible for the cost of any clinical time spent on your case prior to discontinuing service.

We understand every situation is unique. Please contact us with a description of your concerns and we will be happy to help you determine next steps.

Assessment fees are commonly covered by private insurance, but are not covered by MSI (health card). You are encouraged to verify your coverage before booking and attending your initial assessment appointment. For more information on direct billing of your private insurance, click here.

Valued Action Psychological offers assessments with our psychologists on a fee-for-service model billed at a rate of $230/hour. Fees are often covered by private health insurance.

These fees include the cost of in-person service (interview, testing, and feedback session) and the time needed to complete your assessment (interpretation and report writing). Total assessment fees commonly vary in price, but will never be more than our estimated amounts.
